Just Cause™ 3
Just Cause 3 Review: A World in Flames
Just Cause 3 is a game developed by Avalanche Studios and released by Square Enix. This is the third episode of Rico Rodriguez adventures. For those, who came across the game for the first time: all adventures of the protagonist are to blow and explode everything. Literally everything. Want to know more? Check the Just Cause 3 review below.
Just Cause 3 Gameplay: 4/5
If you missed this game or its predecessors, it’s an open world 3rd-person shooter. The main character named Rico Rodriguez tries to save his homeland, the Medici Islands from the evil dictator Di Ravello. There are also several characters that help him to complete his missions. But this story is just a background for numerous bangs and blow-ups.
Rico is a professional tyrant-fighter. And he’s so cool that for this job he practically doesn’t need anything, except for a hook that hides in his sleeve. With the help of this thing, Rico can move almost without touching the ground, switching from a hook to a parachute, from a parachute to a wingsuit. Spiderman meets Batman, and together they steal a tank - this is a rough description of what happens in Just Cause 3.
The only task in the game is the liberation of villages and military bases from the dictator's troops. There are plot tasks, but often the game simply refuses to issue them until a certain part of the territory is liberated. But no one complains - this is the most fun part of the game. The motto of Just Cause 3 is “Explosions are never enough!” Therefore, the protagonist alone knocks down a dozen helicopters and blows bridges, tanks, armored vehicles and ships of government forces in batches.
Rodriguez himself is a mix of masculine action stars and comic book characters, so it makes sense that you often feel like a superhero in his shoes.
Just Cause 3 Graphics: 4/5
The visual filling of Just Cause game is not perfect, but it’s okay. There is nothing photorealistic here, but you can’t call the graphics poor. It just seems that the whole environment is painted with watercolors, while the characters are sharply detailed.
Just Cause 3 Sounds: 4/5
Game sound effects are quite cool. Everything makes noise, so you can hear sounds of blows, shots, etc. This also helps to dip you into the atmosphere more, especially if you play in headphones.
Just Cause 3 Controls: 3/5
I personally think that actions and shooters games are better to be played on consoles rather than PC or laptops. And there’s the main reason for it: there are too many keys needed to play the game. Speaking of Just Cause 3, there are more than 50 of them, and that’s quite complicated to remember all of them.
Replay Value: 4/5
Just Cause 3 is a type of game that never gets you bored. I mean, you can play it for a month and return for it even after half of a year. In Just Cause 3 there is so much to explore and complete even if you don’t have extremely challenging missions.
Just Cause 3 game is a huge and incredibly beautiful sandbox, which can capture you for some time with its head spectacular explosions, hurricane chases, and wingsuit flights. Despite its minor flaws, I recommend you to give it a try and enjoy its completely insane gameplay..
Pros : Really big and beautiful locality;
A huge variety of equipment and weapons available;
Blows, explosions, bangs, bursts and...blow
Cons : No concrete plot;
Gameplay doesn’t actually change through the whole game.
