Five Nights at Freddy's
Five Nights at Freddy’s Review: Bloody Disgusting Horror
Five Nights at Freddy’s is probably the most spookish and frightening horror video games in history. This release doesn’t have advanced graphics or other AAA features, but it manages to make gamers all over the world sleep with lights on! In this game, you have to play for a security guard and help him to survive 5 nights in a row. Hellish animatronics will try to end your shift as short as possible … Five Nights at Freddy’s downloading is available for PC exclusively on Steam.
Five Nights at Freddy’s Gameplay: 5/5
This game is a 1st person horror that puts you in the role of a safety guard man, who was offered a side job at Freddy Fazbear’s pizza cafe for children. His mission sounds quite easy. He has to sit in the security office of the restaurant to protect amusement robots called animatronics. These creepy mechanisms are used to entertain visitors during the day, but nobody knows what they do at night. Quite soon it appears that your only objective is the protection of safety guard’s live. These horrible toys are able to move insensibly, so you can notice their actions only post factum on the monitor of surveillance cameras.
In addition, you have a limited amount of energy to use light and cameras, so you have to work out an effective strategy to survive 5 frightening nights. It would be not fair to give you clues to survival in this Five Nights at Freddy’s review, so try to find the way yourself.
Five Nights at Freddy’s Graphics: 5/5
The quality of graphics in this game is rather low, but this condition is fully justified. Noisy image of surveillance cameras provides deep immersion into the fearful job of a night security guard. Textures and sprites in Five Nights at Freddy’s are also not very sharp. They look a little bit sticky and wet. That’s disgusting and stressful, so the atmosphere in this game is very plausible.
Five Nights at Freddy’s Sounds: 5/5
The soundscape of Five Nights at Freddy’s is remarkably worked. Ambient noises perfectly complement fearful visuals. Scott Cawthon did his best to combine stylish visuals with classic horror sounds. The absence of music in FNAF provides a highly realistic volume.
Five Nights at Freddy’s is based on very simple controls. You have to use only a mouse to navigate the character, to switch between cameras and to manage energy consumption. It’s very good that Scott Cawthon decided to avoid keyboard controls to let gamers concentrate on gameplay more.
Replay Value: 4/5
To be fair, Five Nights at Freddy’s is a very short game. Full walkthrough takes just a couple of hours, but the gameplay is extremely unpredictable and replete. Animatronics can frighten you differently, so it’s advisable to pass it twice or thrice. Unfortunately, there’s no multiplayer mode to diversify gameplay.
Five Nights at Freddy’s is definitely one of the scariest horror franchises in video game history. Surprisingly, this game is very small. It takes as little as 500MB of disk space and runs perfectly even on old desktops. It’s obligatory to play FNAF for every horror fan!
Five Nights at Freddy’s downloading is necessary for all fans of horror genre, because this franchise is based on best Hollywood traditions..
